Journal Galung Tropika (p-ISSN: 2302-4178, e-ISSN: 2407-6279) is a quarterly scientific publication (April, August, December) that focuses on the development of science and technology in the field of agriculture. Jurnal Galung Tropika is a forum for the publication of the latest research in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and plant biology. Jurnal Galung Tropika houses various scientific studies ranging from cultivation to natural resource management, with the aim of advancing the agricultural sector in a sustainable manner.
This journal is published by the Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries, Muhammadiyah University of Parepare. With a broad scope, ranging from plant cultivation, animal husbandry, fisheries, to agricultural biotechnology, Jurnal Galung Tropika is a reference for researchers, academics, and agricultural practitioners in Indonesia.
Journal Galung Tropika (JGT) was reaccredited for the first period of 2025, with a ranking of 3rd, from Volume 13, Number 1, 2024, to Volume 17, Number 2, 2028, with Decree Number: 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, dated March 21, 2025, by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
